Faith's Foundation

This week the theme is that our Faith is in a Person, not a belief structure. We begin with relationship with God, and out of that relationship flows our beliefs. The Bible and Doctrine are to lead us to the foundation, which is Christ.

Embodied Faith

This week will focus on the difference between placing our security in a pledge we once made to God and actually living out that pledge faithfully in the present. Faith is always active and present tense.

Contract vs Covenant

Today's message continue the Faith/Doubt series. This message emphasizes the difference between contract and covenant, showing that a ‘contract’ based faith lacks relationship. Genuine faith is always Covenantal, which means it calls for us to a commitment to trust and be trustworthy to another. We’ll look at how the Bible uses ‘marriage’ language to describe the relationship we have with God.

Wrestling With God

This is message 3 of the Faith, Doubt and the Problem of Certainty series. This series looks at the account of Jacob wrestling with God and dives into the example of Job as one who wrestled with God. The faith we are called to is one of authenticity and honesty. Heroes of the faith were people who authentically and honestly wrestled with God.
